Ilan sa mga sikat na personalidad na pinagkalooban ng simbolikong 9th Dan blackbelt certificate sa taekwondo ng World University Taekwondo Federation ay sina; President Vladimir Putin ng Russia at President Barack Obama ng Amerika. Ngayon, kabilang na dito ang Presidente ng Pilipinas na si President Rodrigo Roa Duterte.

Grupo ng Biyaheng Langit naimbitahan ng Presidente ng World University Taekwondo Federation sa isang pagtitipon sa South Korea. Tahanan ng sikat na world taekwondo academy na matatagpuan sa Gangnam district sa Seoul, nilibot at pinasyalan ng Biyaheng Langit. Umaabot sa mahigit dalawang daang bansa ang miyembro ng World University Taekwondo Federation. Mapalad kaming mabisita ang mismong headquarters ng pederasyon at makilala ang Presidente nitong si Chairman Kim Sung Tae.
Chairman Kim: Actually kukkiwon is not only for the Korean but also for the people all around the world that they made it in 1960 and recognize. There are no special in taekwondo there are all equal, so that’s why they made this place for all of them.

Rey Langit: As we heard special assistant for the president Bong Go spoke a while ago the President of the Republic of the Philippines would really wanted to express his sincerest appreciation on the recognition given by this World organization.

Sa bawat sulok ng mundo ay may Pilipino, minsan pa’y samahan niyo kaming bisitahin sila, ito po si Pareng Rey, kasama natin si Kasanggang JR Langit sa ating Biyaheng Seoul, South Korea.
Sa pamamagitan ng Pangulo ng World University Taekwondo Federation ating alamin ang ilan sa mahahalagang bagay ukol sa sikat na larong Taekwondo. Sa bahagi ng sikat na Distrito ng Gangnam sa Seoul South Korea matatagpuan ang Kukkiwon o World Taekwondo Headquarters. Ito ang nagsisilbing tahanan ng World Taekwondo Academy.
Nanggaling ang salitang Taekwondo sa tae (tay) na ang ibig sabihin ay foot o to strike with the foot. Kwon na ang ibig sabihin ay hand o to strike with the hand, at Do, na ang ibig sabihin ay discipline o “the way.” Taekwondo ang national sport ng South Korea. Isa itong uri ng martial arts na sumesentro sa self defense. Ito ay nagsimula pa noong 1940’s at 1950’s sa pangunguna ng mga Korean martial artists. Ngayon ang nagsisilbing main international organisational bodies for taekwondo ay ang International Taekwondo Federation at ang partnership ng Kukkiwon at World University Taekwondo Federation.

Si Chairman Kim Sung Tae ang tumatayong Pangulo ng World University Taekwondo Federation.
JR Langit: Can you tell us a brief background of kukkiwon, what is kukkiwon and when did it start?
Chairman Kim: Actually kukkiwon is not only for the Korean but also for the people all around the world that made it in 1960 and recognize there are not specially per floor in taekwondo there are condo so that’s why they made this place for them.
Napakahalagang papel ang ginagampanan ng Taekwondo sa buhay ng mga Koreano. Aniya bahagi ito ng kanilang curriculum sa mga paaralan.
JR Langit: Is it required, requirement in the school to learn taekwondo, like ROTC like in military?
Chairman Kim: All military in Korea they must learn taekwondo yeah they need.
JR Langit: What is the federation’s mission and how many members are included in the federation and who are the members?
Chairman Kim: The first mission could be worldwide be popular because taekwondo is such a really good sports not only first of all to protect my body but also second is he wanna raise teacher like instructor they can learn taekwondo better and teach taekwondo as well.

JR Langit: Sir what motivates you to keep on doing what you’re doing right now?
Chairman Kim: How important that taekwondo. I wanna make, spread it out all over the world. That that’s my mission, that thinking keeps me going on.

Nais niya umanong ipakilala ang sport sa mga kabataan na siyang magiging daan upang mas makilala ang taekwondo hindi lamang sa bansa kundi sa buong mundo.
Chairman Kim: I wanna educate university students to know how to do taekwondo and then they can be grown up they can be educated they can globalize taekwondo more to other countries
JR Langit: Even my dad can learn taekwondo?
Chairman Kim: Oh yeah, anytime ah iam planning to open like this kind of facility in the Philippines. That taekwondo can be learned by the university student so if that if your finished, graduate. You can come, you can learn taekwondo over there.
Maging sa Pilipinas, isa ang taekwondo sa pinaka-sikat na uri ng martial arts. Sa katunayan, dekada sitenta pa nang magsimula itong makilala ng mga Pilipino.
GOLD MEDAL IN SOUTH ASIAN GAMES
Noong nakaraang taon lamang nasungkit ng Philippines Men’s Taekwondo team ang gintong medalya sa idinaos na 29th South East Asian Games. Dito makikita kung gaano tayo ka pamilyar sa nasabing laro.
JR Langit: Lastly, chairman what is your plan for the future, future plans for the federation?
Chairman Kim: I want to have taekwondo in each country all around the world so that it make a lot prettier having medal for the good, experts and champions.

SYMBOLIC 9th Dan RANKED
Sa pagtitipon na binuo ng Presidente ng World University taekwondo federation Chairman Kim Sung Tae, pinagkalooban si Pangulong Rodrigo Roa Duterte ng isang pagkilala. ito ang simbolikong “9th Dan ranked sa taekwondo. Ang Dan ay ang ranking system na ginagamit ng mga Koreano pagdating sa martial arts. Ito ang tumutukoy ng level o galing ng isang manlalaro. Ang parangal na iginawad kay Presidente Rodrigo Duterte ang pinaka-mataas na pagkilalang ibinibigay ng pederasyon ay tradisyong ginagawad sa Head of State na dumadalaw sa South Korea.

SAP Bong: I for one know that discipline bring stability and system into one’s life back in the Philippines in have always advocated to the Filipino youth the use and practice of sports as alternative to vices and other unproductive for fruits when you have discipline you are better to handle challenges and obstacle.
Taekwondo also teaches us that pain is a part of the process instead of trying to avoid it we must acknowledge pain and difficulties as a normal part of life and utilize these experiences to build our mental and emotional toughness with the growing popularity of the beautiful sport in the Philippines it is my hope that more and more Filipinos will start practicing taekwondo and in the process learn all this great lessons that will better themselves as an individual and a Filipino citizen as your national sport I trully believe taekwondo is one of south korea’s many precious gift to the world hence it is my enormous pleasure to be part of today’s event thank you very much kamsamnida.
CHAIRMAN KIM’S ANNOUNCEMENT
Sa darating na July 10-15, 2018 ay idaraos ang International Sports Competition sa Pohang, South Korea. Ang palaro ay dadaluhan ng may humigit kumulang sa 209 na mga bansa. Inaasahang malaking delegasyon ng Filipino Athletic Association ang dadalo sa event na ito.
Malaki ang papel ng sports hindi lamang sa mga kabataan kundi maging sa mga nagkaka-edad. Bukod kasi sa maganda ito sa kalusugan, nakakatulong rin itong maiwaksi ang masamang bisyo.
Kaya naman layunin ng World University Taekwondo Federation ang mas maparami pa ang mga bansang miyembro ng organisasyon. Nais nilang ipaalam sa buong mundo ang kabutihan at kahalagahan ng nasabing laro.
SUMMATION
Malaki ang papel ng sports hindi lamang sa mga kabataan kundi maging sa mga nagkaka-edad. Bukod kasi sa maganda ito sakalusugan, nakakatulong rin itong maiwaksi ang masamang bisyo.
Kaya naman layunin ng World University Taekwondo Federation ang mas maparami pa ang mga bansang miyembrong organisasyon. Nais nilang ipaalam sa buong mundo ang kabutihan at kahalagahan ng nasabing laro.
Ang Taekwondo ay hindi lamang nagsisilbing national sport ng South Korea, itinuturing itong Pride at legacy to the world ng mga Koreano. Hanggang sa susunod na paglalakbay ito po si Pareng Rey, kasama si Kasanggang JR Langit, siguradong hindi kayo mauubusan ng kwentong Pinoy sapagkat sa bawat sulok ng mundo ay may Pilipino minsan pa an gaming pasasalamat sa inyong walang sawang pakikipaglakbay sa ating Biyaheng Langit.
